Annual Ryegrass

SF Sultan

diploid annual ryegrass

SF Sultan is a synthetic diploid annual ryegrass from six parents, bred for high yields under both grazing and fodder conservation. It has outstanding winter production with rapid re-growth after grazing or cutting.

It has higher ME, lower NDF and higher DM% compared to most tetraploids, making it ideal for early cut silage through to late hay. It has excellent disease tolerance.

Features Benefits
Diploid Lower seeding rate for more cost effective sowing. Better suited to drier and warmer winters
Excellent tiller density Rapid re-growth after first grazing for excellent quality
Outstanding winter yields Rapid re-growth after grazing when feed is needed
Mid-late maturity Provides better quality fodder than earlier flowering types
