diploid annual ryegrass
SF Sultan is a synthetic diploid annual ryegrass from six parents, bred for high yields under both grazing and fodder conservation. It has outstanding winter production with rapid re-growth after grazing or cutting.
It has higher ME, lower NDF and higher DM% compared to most tetraploids, making it ideal for early cut silage through to late hay. It has excellent disease tolerance.
|Diploid||Lower seeding rate for more cost effective sowing. Better suited to drier and warmer winters|
|Excellent tiller density||Rapid re-growth after first grazing for excellent quality|
|Outstanding winter yields||Rapid re-growth after grazing when feed is needed|
|Mid-late maturity||Provides better quality fodder than earlier flowering types|
Suited to all livestock types, silage and hay
